New PRE-PARE? Herbicide Allows Glyphosate Burndown to Work Harder and Last Longer
Cary, N.C. (PRWEB) December 4, 2007 -- Arysta LifeScience North America Corporation has announced the registration of PRE-PARE? 70 WDG Herbicide. PRE-PARE is an exciting new option for wheat growers interested in extended control of troublesome grassy and broadleaf weeds at burndown.
"The registration is excellent news for wheat growers who already apply glyphosate as a burndown treatment prior to seeding," says Patrick Haikal, Product Manager. "The extended control of PRE-PARE means that wheat fields get a jumpstart on the growing season."
Research has shown that prolific broadleaf and grassy weeds like green foxtail (pigeongrass) and wild oats decrease crop yields the most when they out compete the wheat in its earliest growing stages. A burndown treatment that includes PRE-PARE means that the field will stay cleaner, allowing wheat growers time to seed into a clean field and reduce weed competition for the emerging crop.
"Wheat growers are constantly looking for better solutions for their operation," adds Haikal. "We worked collaboratively with over 175 growers to bring PRE-PARE to the market.
